This course is designed to provide the theory and practical training necessary to reasonably, safely, effectively, operate the Electronic Control Device X26, Conducted Electrical Weapon, CEW©. Course will cover research, technology, nervous systems, medical and safety, deployment and handling, legal, nomenclature, operation and displays, programming, spark test, data downloading, maintenance, cartridge, loading and unloading, tactical considerations, probe placement, target zones, TASER cam, drive stun, effects on animals, policy considerations, holsters, and use of force. Practical application will include non-firing drills, firing drills, stress course and scenarios. Electrical Defense course is taught by certified instructor. Course follows the guidelines of California P.O.S.T.
