This course teaches students the guard and employer responsibilities, criminal liability, civil liability, and vicarious liability. Use of force will cover the continuum of force, reasonable rational force, force against words, trespassing and assault with hands and fists. Further discussion on deadly force, force in defense of another and property. Also, escalation and de-escalation of force. Practical application to include stance, grip, target areas, defensive techniques, control techniques, movement and arrest and control techniques.
